What’s Happening in Colombia?

Since April 28 the Colombian people are protesting against a new tributary law made by Ivan Duque’s government.

The law raised taxes for low and medium-wages. As a consequence, inflation has grown as never before. Food, water, gas, and other goods of primary importance are not affordable anymore. However, after just a few days of demonstration, the government had to withdraw the law. But why are people still protesting in the street? Now it’s almost a month, and demonstrations are still going on in Colombia.

In this podcast episode, Colombians living this situation from there or living abroad share their voices to explain what’s happening in their country.
